What is BluCrush?

BluCrush is our Crazy-Fun High-Energy 4 piece party band. We bring a great time wherever we go, and we make it our mission to keep people dancing and singing along! BluCrush performs a diverse selection of Rock, Disco, Retro, Funk, Country, Classic Caribbean & more, and we make sure to get our audience involved with the show!
Featuring: Conga lines, sing alongs, off-stage interaction, cabaret-style floor shows, hysterical contests, costume changes and straight up great dance music!
Who is BluCrush?
AmyBlu: (Lead Vocals, Dynamite Entertainer!) You might be familiar with AmyBlu from her cabaret duet show which has worked extensively throughout the Hudson Valley since 2018. Renown as a sultry jazz and torch singer with a visually striking act, her cabaret shows feature costume changes and hysterical audience interaction. She brings that bawdy “diva” sensibility to every BluCrush performance!!
Max Mayer: (Guitar, Vocals) I’ve been AmyBlu’s duet accompanist since 2018. I’ve come to know Amy’s performance style as only a long time collaborator can.
I also tour colleges nationally and US military bases internationally as a solo act “The Travelin’ Max Show” (since 1992). I endeavor to bring a lifetime of performing experience to each BluCrush show.
Sharon Siodmak: (Drums) Sharon started playing drums relatively late in life. She had already established herself as a solid drummer in a few Hudson Valley bands before co-founding BluCrush. Her nickname in BluCrush is Sunshine because she' s always full of joy & gratitude! Yet, we are are the ones who are lucky to have her as not only our drummer, but the band’s driving force! Her impeccable timing and attention to all performance details helps keep the show tight and energetic!
We are privileged to work with a variety of wonderful musicians who join the band as needed.
How did BluCrush begin?
Since 2018, I’ve had the privilege of being the guitarist/accompanist for the wonderful torch singer AmyBlu. Together we’ve performed at dozens of restaurants, lounges, wine bars, breweries, private events and performing arts stages throughout the Hudson Valley. I’ve watched her win over unsuspecting audiences and turn them into adoring fans everywhere we go.
In 2022 Amy suggested the idea of putting together a rhythm section. With a bass and drummer, we could expand our repertoire to include some of our favorite heavier rock and classic dance cover songs. We began working with drummer Sharon Siodmak and a variety of rotating bass players and multi-instrumentalists, thus creating a Hudson Valley musician's collective in which variations in the lineup can be adopted to specific venues and events.
